After a week of intensive exchange, the Living Kitchen 2013 closed its doors. With their concept stand, designed as a market place, Schüller offered space for dialogue, inspiration and conversation. Schüller went to Cologne intending to compete with a stand which is surprisingly different and which evokes a positive feeling for the visitors.
Therefore, the idea of a marketplace as a lively place for exchange and communication is ideal. As a main design element, wooden pallets have been used in the exterior walls. The imperfect and casual appearance played a major role in this concept. So, one consciously decided in favour of used pallets, the tiled backsplash was not jointed, brochures were placed on pallets in the exhibition and bar tables from plastic boxes were tied up with a band. By these elements the stand received surprising effects and turned into an eye-catcher. Located in the centre - the kiosk! By its stylish design and its service with bread and coffee culture, it was a real attraction pole. The emotionally made Schüller company film convinced as "public viewing". In beautiful images, it shows everything that is "typical Schüller": The rural environment, the investments in the production, the construction activities, the family-run company and the orientated splitting into two product segments as well as the commitment to the environment. Thus, the visit to the Schüller stand became an entire experience.
At the beginning of the fair, the collection next125 received a special honour - during a gala event the wall-mounted system was awarded the "Interior Innovation Award - Best of Best". During the fair, exciting new developments and design studies could be observed with the next-collection. New shapes, functions and surfaces were presented with the three displayed kitchens of the Premium Collection and rated in dialogue with the trading partners. Together with numerous new products of the "Küchenmeile A30", the six kitchens of the schüller.C collection showed the variety of the Schüller portfolio.
"Our expectations were met," says Markus Schüller, CEO of The Schüller Möbelwerk KG. "Both, in terms of the frequency, as well as the internationality of the visitors, Cologne has established as a design and trade fair City and I think that the visit to the Schüller stand will be kept in good memories."
